EasyWebbers Past and Present

There are not too many online recruitment companies in the local area so we have traditionally recruited people with the right attitude and great potential but with limited experience.

As a small but growing company we try and develop our staff and promote from within. This means that the vast majority of our management team joined us as a graduate. For some though, their next move was with a new company. It is always a shame when good people leave but it is great to see so many of them with careers that are flourishing.

See below for a few examples from current and previous employees…

What did you learn from working at EasyWeb?

“This was my first job in recruitment and I’m so glad it was at EasyWeb. It’s such a fun and collaborative environment to work in, as well as having a great culture and mix of people to work with. It gave me insight into the world of corporate and agency recruitment. I also learnt how to write top-notch ads, with elements from EasyWeb that I still use today!”

“The worst thing was the progression opportunities as they were limited at the time due to the size of the company.”

What did you learn during your time at EasyWeb?

“The role gave me my first experience within recruitment and taught me the basics behind everything I do in my current job. It was also my first real role out of university and I learnt a lot of transferable skills that are vital in my role today such as developing relationships and interpersonal skills. I cannot thank EasyWeb enough!”

Where did your EasyWeb journey begin?

“I started my journey with EasyWeb back in 2016 as a Marketing and Events Executive.”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“I absolutely loved working at EasyWeb. The office environment is amazing with so much fun and many laughs along the way, but when it comes down to it, we all got stuck in to get the job done and provide an amazing service to clients. The best thing about working at EasyWeb was definitely people – they become like family in just a short amount of time and that’s great to have. ”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“The most important part for me being at EasyWeb was the fact I could get my foot in the door and on my career ladder. Being given the opportunity to take on projects and tasks important to the business – like building a new website, was perfect for my progression. Although there was a lack of job progression for me, EasyWeb allowed me to develop new skills and get better at Marketing to go off into the world and a bigger company.”

We are very proud that you were an EasyWebber and we would love to hear any other thoughts you have on working with us!

“Working with you guys was one of the best year and 3 months of my life. I miss the pool table, I miss beer hour and I miss you all. Thank you for giving me the best start to my career and bringing me into the EasyWeb family – if there’s a spare ticket for your Christmas party you know where I am ;)”

Where did your EasyWeb journey begin?

“It began in 2009 when I graduated from university and joined as a Temp to work on a bespoke project for Tesco Graduate Schemes. I haven’t looked back since!”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“The best thing is that the company is like a little family and it’s a fun place to work with a great office atmosphere. I think this is also the worst thing about working here because when it’s time to move on, it’s unlikely that you will find another employer like EasyWeb!”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“I’m still learning all the time, but definitely one of the biggest things for me is how different departments can work together to do great things. It really is incredible!”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“The best thing is the culture. It is a good place to work with great people. Progression has clearly been a great thing for me personally as I have worked my way up to Commercial Director of the Group and also heading up the agency division.”

What is the worst thing about working for EasyWeb?

“We have a pool table in the office which means there is plenty of competition. So, the worst thing for me is getting beat regularly at pool!”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“I am still learning. Every day. The key things I picked up early on at EasyWeb is the importance of offering a great customer service and being honest with clients. Also, EasyWeb is fast moving so you need to work at a good pace and be prepared for change!”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“So much! Not only has my Account Management skills grown from working with some fantastic people, but working in recruitment has massively enhanced my knowledge of all different industries and sectors! Learning how to demo software has also definitely been one of the best skills I have gained.”

LESTER GIBSON

Now: Head of Product Development

Where did your EasyWeb journey begin?

“My career at EasyWeb began straight after University!”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“The best thing for me is the freedom that EasyWeb allows to be creative in my work. I am allowed free reign to think outside the box when it comes to the product and everything I put forward is seriously looked over and considered by a great directorship. I never feel like I can’t put an idea forward and the whole team is easily approachable.

“The office environment and people at EasyWeb truly make it a great place to work; everything is very relaxed and it is all great fun. Also, beer Friday is where we all unwind at 3pm on a Friday afternoon as we are allowed a beer at our desk. Definitely the best day!”

What is the worst thing about working for EasyWeb?

“The worst thing is that while the directorship is very approachable, they are also extremely busy (albeit a good problem to have) and it is very hard to get scheduled time where everyone is available. This is a minor issue for the most part but it does sometimes cause delays in important decisions.”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“I have learnt so much at EasyWeb that it is hard to put it all down in one place. The most important thing for me would be that they’ve shown me a career path that I never thought I would be going down after leaving university. It is a career that is challenging, rewarding and has shown my strengths as a person. I can’t think of anything else I would rather do and it truly makes every day a joy.”

BETH BYRNE

Where did your EasyWeb journey begin?

“I started as a Resource Executive for EasyWeb Recruitment shortly after finishing my degree; this was my first step into a career path and I have grown from there. Within months I moved over and solely supported the NFP team before successfully acquiring my current role as a Resource Consultant in March 2017.”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“It is a great atmosphere with very friendly people. I also now have a clear career path to becoming a Recruitment Consultant and I feel that I have been supported every step of the way in this process. There is a great management team at EasyWeb who have supported me both professionally and on more of a personal level when I have needed it, leaving me feeling valued for the work I put in.”

What is the worst thing about working for EasyWeb?

“With a smaller company progression getting there can be quite difficult, but it isn’t impossible, especially at EasyWeb where the environment allows you to express your thoughts and they are taken on board.”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“So far I feel that I have learnt so much about recruitment from some great people. My communication skills in a professional environment have also grown significantly.”

“I began in 2014 working as a Resourcer for EasyWeb Recruitment”

What is the best thing about working for EasyWeb?

“There’s a lot of great things about working at EasyWeb, the best though has to be the people I work with everyday. When I first joined the business I wasn’t sure where I wanted to go with my career but I’ve been supported throughout my journey by my managers and was given a great opportunity to move across into the agency team. ”

What is the worst thing about working for EasyWeb?

“The worst thing is when someone forgets to bring in any baking on their baking day.”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“I’ve learnt so much at EasyWeb I wouldn’t know where to start, it has been my first proper job since leaving sixth form and I keep learning new stuff everyday.”

What have you learnt while working at EasyWeb?

“Because the company is small, I get to work directly with the senior management team, which I love because it’s taught me so much more commercial knowledge than I think I would’ve learnt if I had worked for a larger business. ”
